For Students
Healing Hands Mentorship (HHM) is a student-led nonprofit that connects high school students with physicians and healthcare professionals for mentorship, education, and real-world exposure to careers in healthcare. Our goal is to help students explore healthcare careers, learn from real professionals, and gain guidance as they plan their futures. Through podcasts and in-person shadowing, students will gain valuable exposure to various types of medicine.

Application Process
HHM is open to motivated high school students in grades 8-12 who are interested in healthcare or medicine. No prior medical experience is required, but just curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to learn and act professionally. Students accepted into HHM may participate in mentorship conversations, educational talks, and, uniquely, free shadowing. These opportunities are designed to provide insight into different healthcare careers, educational pathways and professional expectations. Students are expected to be respectful, responsible, and professional while participating in HHM activities. This includes following confidentiality guidelines, attending sessions on time, and communicating appropriately with mentors and the HHM team. Healing Hands Mentorship is an educational and mentorship-based program only. We do not provide medical care, clinical training, or hands-on patient activities. All students must have parent or guardian consent to participate. Students interested in joining HHM must complete the student application form. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected students will be contacted by email with next steps. Applications are accepted year-round.
